ABOUT C-DAC, MUMBAI
C-DAC, Mumbai (formerly National Centre for Software Technology) was established in the year 1985 by Ministry of Information Technology (MIT- formerly Department of Electronics), Government of India, as a National Laboratory, for R & D in Software Technology. C-DAC, Mumbai has its offices in Juhu (Mumbai), Kharghar (Navi Mumbai), Nariman Point (Mumbai) and Electronics City (Bengaluru).
Major Activities
- Carrying out Research and Development in the areas of Computer Software Technology and Computer Science.
- Conducting Educational Programmes and Training activities.
- Playing national and international roles in its area of interest to hasten the acquisition of knowledge and to contribute its own findings.
- Co-operating with other R&D agencies and other academic institutions in the field of R&D in software technology.
- Providing High Technology support to the Indian Industry and Business in the field of IT through R&D, Education and Training, Design and Implementation of Software, and through Consultancy on Computer Systems and Networks.
