C-DAC plays significant national and international roles in its areas of interest to hasten the acquisition of knowledge. C-DAC contributes its own findings and design suitable channels of dissemination. The educational role of C-DAC, Mumbai and Electronics City, Bengaluru conducts a well-established one-year duration full-time diploma in the field of advanced software technology for graduates and a six-month part-time diploma in the field of Information Security. R&D Divisions at the Centre also conduct professional educational courses oriented towards proffesionals sponsored by their employers.
Professional Education (PE) Courses
Apart from carrying out R&D of practical relevance, C-DAC, Mumbai and Electronics City, Bengaluru also make a significant contribution to high-quality education and training of professionals of the IT industry. The Professional Education (PE) courses at C-DAC, Juhu, Kharghar and Electronics City, Bengaluru provide training in specialised areas and are highly valued for their balanced emphasis on core concepts as well as current technologies. PE courses are also conducted on request. The courses are typically of 1 or 2 weeks� duration.

These courses are conducted as publicly announced courses or organised for a specific organisation. For announced courses, the fee is Rs. 7,500/- per participant for a one-week course and Rs.15,000/- per participant for a two-week course. For courses organised for a specific organisation, only nominees from the organisation are allowed to participate. The cost of such a course will be Rs.1,50,000/- for a one-week course and Rs.3,00,000/- for a two-week course. The maximum intake in such a course will be limited to 20 participants.
